The Bible Institute of Honduras
Danlí, Honduras
The Instituto Bíblico de Honduras (IBH), or the Bible Institute of Honduras, began classes on April 13, 2009 in Danlí, Honduras, a town of approximately 40,000, located in the mountains of this Central American country, 90 kilometers from the capital (Tegucigalpa) and not far from the Nicaraguan border. Danlí is located in a beautiful valley along the Pan American Highway, in the region of El Paraíso (Paradise). There have been many missionary efforts in this area of Honduras by the churches of Christ, and there are, as a result, many small congregations located nearby.
The Alpha Class of IBH graduated on February 11, 2011 and will be continuing the work they were already doing in preaching and teaching the Gospel.
Donnie Bates interviews Hector Viera, a recent graduate of the Honduras Bible Institute, discussing the benefit of the Bible Institute to the work of the church in Honduras.
The Beta Class began classes on August 1, 2011 and are presently in their second quarter of studies. We currently have six students enrolled and training to preach the Gospel. If you would like to help with this work, or would like more information, please contact Donnie Bates, the Bear Valley coordinator for this extension center.
