Graduation And God Gives The Increase...

I am sorry to have not sent this report for some weeks. We have been having problems and some Sundays we visited where there were was no internet. Our graduation went well. Students are all now back in their villages.

John Macho, who has been working with Genguluho Church of Christ, stayed with them for two weeks. During these weeks three people have been baptized. Five people were to be baptized but due to the long distance to the water only three were baptized. They had requested me to take them with my  Toyota Surf, but it is still not working. This vehicle has become so old that it cannot  run one week without going to the garage. In the state it is in, if I sell it I can only get $1400 dollars. A reconditioned one today would cost $11,000 dollars.

Other news from our graduates comes from brother Daniel Oloo. After graduation, he was home for one week and now he is helping with some churches in central Kenya in a place called Nyahururu. He is holding seminars with those churches and last week one person was baptized.

On Wednesday Margaret and I went to Arusha, Tanzania to attend brother Paul Ndwani's burial. He left his wife and children who still were depending on him. Let us pray for them.

Today we worshiped at the Nandwa church of Christ and we learned about "Hope". We are very happy that the Lord has answered our prayers here in Nandwa. There was a brother whose marriage was almost breaking, but today we were informed that things are going on well.

The churches from Congo are reporting that they are growing. They only need some people to go and visit them. I have been caught up with some problems these two weeks after the graduation. I plan to go to Congo on April 2nd, 2012. We will be interviewing our prospects on April 12th, 2012. Hope to read from you.

The Church Is Growing Strong...

Dear brethren,

It has been a good day today. We are doing fine here in Uganda. The churches of Christ in Busia, Namayingo and Bugiri Districts are growing strong in the Lord. They have seen the need to do things which leads them toward being independent.

Today we worshiped at Nandwa church. I was given a chance to preach and I preached about walking in the valleys of life. The brethren saw how the Lord can deliver those who fall into the valley.

We are remaining with only two weeks until graduation. We are now waiting for the short course teachers who will teach and later we go to the graduation. We are praying for all of you who are planning to come for graduation. Come and be with us on that great day. May the Lord bless you as you plan your trip. I hope to read from you.

20 Plan For Graduation In Uganda...

Dear brethren,

The Lord is continuing to bless us here in Uganda. Reports from congregations where our students work are good. Gengulukho church of Christ, there was a death in that congregation. Our beloved sister Matirida Ajiambo passed away on the 2nd of February and was buried on the 4th of February 2012. She was the mother of our brother Dadira Wonyango. Dadira was the first convert of the school in 2007. His mother followed him.

This Saturday, 12 congregations from Busia and Mayingo Districts came together in their quarterly fellowship. These congregation are 14 in number and their aim is to work together in helping each other in their problems. When they meet together three lessons are taught from different preachers. Each congregation contributes $10 dollars which is given to the hosting congregation to be used in solving whatever needs they might be having. Most congregations want funds to buy plots, building church buildings and others. These congregations also contribute $5 dollar each whenever there is death in any congregation to help in caring for the burial expenses.

Today we worshipped at Nandwa church of Christ. After worship we sent different members to visit those who were reported to be sick. Myself, Margaret , Paul my son and Loyce, my mother, went to visit Okello Adaya who has been very sick after the death of his brother who passed away on the 10th February. Okello was complaining of stomach pain and headache. Today he had come from the hospital and he was at home. Another group visited Makoha Eridadi who is suffering from a stroke. The church always takes to him the Lord’s Supper every Sunday, as he cannot come to church. They reported that Eridadi today could not even wake up by himself as he usually does. Let us continue praying for brother Eridadi.

UGANDA SCHOOL OF EVANGELISM graduation is just at hand. On the 2nd of March 20 students will graduate. Two students will just go through the process, but they will continue for two more quarters in the new school year. We need your prayers as we plan this.

Graduation Is Coming...

Dear brethren,

We are doing fine here in Uganda. We thank you very much for your support. Through this support many souls have been saved which would not if you had not be supporting this work.

The Uganda School of Evangelism is going on well. We are in our last quarter, as you know. Students are just now thinking of going home, as we are just remaining with seven weeks to graduation. On the 12th of January, I left Busia going to Kasese (580 klm in Western Uganda for a gospel campaign which the brethren had planed). I taught on the 13th and 14th. I taught about (1) Bible Authority, (2) Church leadership and (3) The church's responsibility to the preacher.

The church has been in this area since 1997 and no the church has the right leaders, and also no church is supporting their preacher, even with a kilo of maize flour. I left in the evening and  arrived in Kampala at night and I had to stay there for a night. 20 souls were added to the church on Saturday. The meeting ended today and many were expected to be baptized. Today, 15th January, I worshiped with Mbuya church of Christ in Kampala. The brethren gave me a chance to preach. I taught one of the lessons. I had taught in Kasese, "The church's responsibility to the preacher." The brethren saw where they have failed and asked God to help them change for the best this year.

GRADUATION NEEDS:

(1) Buy 12 more gowns at @ $21 per gown that is  $252.

(2) Graduation Cake at $67

(3) Meals for about 300 people $313

(4) Purchase of 100 plastic chairs $750

(5) Hiring 150 more chairs and decorating the place $81

(6) A new Concordance as a gift to the best student and any other good books that can help them in work of preaching.

(7) New English Bibles to the best three students in English class. I have Swahili Bibles for Swahili Class.

(8) $100 for buying paint our kitchen and other places that might need painting.

(9) If we can get drip irrigation kits we can give them.

(10) Brother Glen Addison had promised goats to be given to the students. It would be better if this money comes before graduation so that we can start going to the market place to purchase them. May the Lord bless you as you serve Him. Hope to read from you.

2nd Annual Lectureship A Success...

Dear brethren,

Thank you for your prayers, We finished our second Annual Lectureship well. 25 churches were represented, and a total of 140 people attended. We began on the 15th and ended on 17th. The brethren enjoyed the fellowship. Today we worshiped at Nandwa church of Christ and brother Jacob Omollo preached about meekness. After worship we went to visit brother Eridadi Makokha who is sick. He had a stroke and for about six months he was just in bed at his home. The Nandwa church always sends brethren to take the Lord's Supper to him and worship with him. Pray for him, so that he may get money to go to the Hospital. God bless you all.
